Apology needed

IAN Tooley should apologise to Steve Barilla.

His personal attack on Steve Barilla, ‘My say on Barilla’ (July 31, 2024) was disrespectful.

To not apologise would be hypocritical.

Ian Tooley wants others to treat him with respect.

To be credible he should have demonstrated respect in his reply to Steve’s comments.

He should have role modelled the behaviour he expects of others.

Those who write to The Bunyip should be able to express views without fear of personal attack.

It is unnecessary, unhelpful and risks stifling public debate.

For the record – I do not know Steve Barilla.
