I FEEL compelled to express my concerns regarding safety on the Gawler train line.
Only weeks after the horrific Bondi attacks which targeted women, an incident on the Gawler train saw an unidentified male physically and verbally attack four individual women unknown to him.
Although this person was eventually arrested, he was released on bail and barred from riding trains.
I ride the train into the city often.
I do not feel safe on the train and will not ride it alone at night.
I have witnessed aggressive and rude behaviour on this train more often than not on these trips.
In the interest of public safety, trains must be patrolled by guards at all times.
