THE Gawler East community was let down by councillor Isaac Solomon’s failure to attend and vote at the meeting of the Council Assessment Panel on April 11, 2024.
His buck passing of this critical meeting has resulted in stress and unwanted anxiety to us residents.
We now find ourselves in uncharted waters with costly legal disputes on the horizon.
This Optus tower should never have been approved.
We were let down from the get-go.
Simon Carpenter, Gawler East
Editor’s note: Councillor Isaac Solomon did not attend the meeting or vote as he said he had been approached by and held discussions with residents on the phone tower development application, which would have been in breach of the PlanSA Elected Members on Assessment Panels code of conduct. Mr Solomon thus declared a conflict of interest and did not take part in the Council Assessment Panel deliberations.
