IT was fantastic to see the former Liberal Government’s $15 million expansion plan of the Gawler Hospital Emergency Department open last week.
In October 2020, the then Liberal Government proudly committed funding to triple the size of the Emergency Department and kickstarted the work over the course of its term in office.
While the Labor Government were there to officially cut the ribbon last week, it’s worth recognising that this project was cemented in the budget under the Liberals.
The expansion is a great result for our region more broadly, going some way in ensuring locals can have better access to healthcare, closer to home and when they need it most.
