A simple suggestion

I HAD to wipe the tears away reading the story of Mr Julian Midwinter.

How long has this problem been affecting you, Julian?

You say that your neighbours have been complaining about it for 20 years and ever since you moved in to Edith Street you joined them.

I’ve got a suggestion for the council and yourself.

Because the council is currently under financial stress as a result of a budgeting error, I don’t think that they would like to spend ratepayer money on consultants to tell them how to fix your problem.

Why don’t you negotiate with the council to pay for the advertising and marketing of your house and, just for you, pay for a removalist to shift your chattels to a new abode.

I’ve just been looking at my Australian Touring Atlas and I can make some suggestions – Alma, Julia, Emu Downs, Salter Springs, Erith and there’s more.

All have minimal traffic passing through these towns.

By the way, Google Earth suggests the best way to get from Willaston to Gawler East is via Edith Street, so if you have the cash to take them on, give them a try.
