ON January 24 I was disturbed at a bus driver’s refusal to take a lady and her five children to near Gawler Central Station to pick her car up as she only had cash as her phone was flat with her bank details not accessible.
The bus driver said to me the rules are the rules, so the poor lady had to walk to Gawler Central Railway station with five children in the heat.
I tried to pay for her but was refused to.
The train stopped at Gawler station. We were not aware of this and then we were standing in wrong place to get the next train.
No signs were up and train driver would not wait for us.
Where is the compassion and is this how people get treated in a cashless society?
