Too many sports betting ads

CONGRATULATIONS to Rick Drewer who yet again has proved himself to be a concerned and responsible member of society.

His article ‘Pervasive world of sports betting a serious danger to young people’ is timely.

Our governments by their inaction and ad- diction to the revenue generated by gambling, are facilitating an even greater addiction to gambling by our younger generations.

Australia has the greatest gambling losses of any country in the world.

Free-to-air TV has 743 sports betting ad- verts per day, Britain has 11 per week.

Good on you Australia!

What chance do our younger generations have when our politicians turn a blind eye to their future?
