IN my first speech to Parliament, I started by acknowledging the traditional owners of this land and paying respect to elders.
I am proud to support Voice, Treaty and Truth on behalf of our First Nations peoples.
This is an important first step for our nation to start a meaningful healing process of wounds that have been left open far too long.
The Voice to Parliament is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians in our Constitution and to make Australia a better place for all of us.
I support a Voice to Parliament of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians.
