Grants available for volunteers in Spence

The Spence Grants Committee will now be accepting expressions of interest from eligible organisations to participate in the 2022-23 Spence Volunteer Grants Program.

Community organisations are the lifeblood of our local community.

Our community needs its volunteers to support, connect and make a material difference in our community.

That’s why I am encouraging all eligible organisations to participate in this Federal grant program by submitting an expression of interest form via the website, surveymonkey.com/r/SpenceVolunteerGrants2022Email.

It also includes a link to the Grant Opportunity Guidelines in order for you to be able to review that your organisation and its proposed project are eligible to participate and receive funding as part of this grant program.

The Spence electorate will be allocated a total of $66,225 for grants between $1000 and $5000, which are available to help not-for-profit community organisations or groups support their volunteers through practical measures such as the purchase of small equipment items, contribute to volunteers’ fuel and transport costs, and assistance towards the cost of training and background screening checks.

The grants provide a valuable opportunity for your organisation to support its volunteers.

Please note that the deadline to submit an expression of interest is Friday, September 23, 2022 at 5pm.

I look forward to reviewing expressions of interest from throughout the electorate and wish all applicants the best of luck throughout the process.

Matt Burnell, Federal Member for Spence
