One rule for all

WHEN using our public transport system, it is surely reasonable to expect all commuters to act and behave in an acceptable manner at all times.

For passengers on our bus service, some having visited relatives in hospital, using the service from Victoria Square travelling along Main North Rd, to be subjected, night after night, to a group of eight or nine people, heavily intoxicated, drinking, smoking, swearing and spitting on the bus, and having not paid any fare and not to be removed from that bus service is simply unacceptable.

Recently, at stop 21, one member of this group, having exited the bus, collapsed in the gutter, such was their condition.

Such consistent behaviour of this type is totally improper, no matter the background of this or any other group concerned.
