Hewett playing host

LIGHT Regional Council owns and operates a beautifully designed facility, stunningly situated amongst mature gum trees by a bend of the North Para River in the heart of Hewett: The Hewett Centre.

This is our building, the ratepayers’ building and, for the first time, council will hold one of their monthly ordinary meetings there on Tuesday, April 23 at 5pm.

I suspect this might not seem to be something worth writing about, but it was a hard fought for decision to finally bring such a meeting closer to the people.

To bring it down from the council chambers up in Kapunda, to give more residents a chance to engage with, appreciate and perhaps better understand our local government.

We are here for you, we need your participation to do a good job, so come on down next Tuesday and witness your representatives at work.

These are my personal views.

Simon Zeller,

Light Regional Council Deputy Mayor
