Gawler market a success

CONGRATULATIONS to the founders of the Gawler Makers’ Market.

The first market, held on Sunday, was an amazing success for all involved and it was an honour for me to officially open it.

The Gawler Business Development Group provided seed funding for the market and is proud to be involved in this venture which showcases the talent we have in Gawler.

While there is a dedicated committee behind it, special mention must be made of Paul Koch and Rob Window for their vision and drive.

The stallholders they attracted are true artisans and can be proud of their products and displays.

The waiting list for a spot in the market will only grow longer now.

I urge everyone to go to the November market and consider their early Christmas shopping list while there.

There will be a great array of products that will provide unique and quality gifts for family and friends.

We can look forward to a burgeoning event which will draw visitors and locals to be part of what I am sure will become a tradition and a celebration of Gawler talent.

Louise Drummond, Gawler Business Development Group Chair
