WWII hero honoured for service

AN Evanston Park World War II veteran recently received a top honour for his service.

Malcolm Boswell, 94, received his Medallion and Certificate of Commemoration acknowledging the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and giving thanks to the living veterans.

Malcolm expressed his pride in receiving this recognition and in his contributions to serving the country’s war effort and the freedom of nations as a SAPPER (military engineer) in the Australian Army, including serving in New Guinea.
