Willaston women wallop Central

WILLASTON continued to stamp its authority on the Barossa, Light & Gawler senior women’s football competition by crushing Gawler Central by 105 points on Saturday.

Sarah-Jane Jameson was again instrumental with six goals, while Megan Boers dominated with three majors.

Elsewhere, Tanunda defeated Kapunda by 66 points.

Sarah Builder, Jessica Scott and Zoe Healy kicked two goals each for the Magpies, while Tess Gerhardy was the sole scorer for the Bombers.

Meanwhile, Barossa District defeated South Gawler by 12 goals.

Maddy Lane was inspirational with three majors, while Taryn Wills chipped in with two.

Finally, Angaston disposed of rival Nuriootpa by three goals.

Courtnie Moulds and Aspen Wood shared the Panthers’ five goals between them, while Mercedes Flaherty-Holtham was the only multiple goal-kicker for the Tigers.

Under 17

Angaston defeated Barossa District by one point after trailing by three goals at three quarter-time.

Zarlee Lange was vital with three majors, while Tayissa Hayden kicked two.

For the Dogs, Piper Riggs slotted two goals.

Elsewhere, Kapunda overcame Tanunda by 33 points.

Liana Antonioli was terrific with three goals, while Kim Schwarz was a handy sidekick with two.

Under 14

Gawler Central comfortably defeated Willaston by 50 points.

Amelia Farquhar and Lindsee Parniak kicked two majors each.

Elsewhere, Angaston belted Barossa District by 52 points.

Lily Guymer was terrific with five goals, while Kate Argent-Bowden helped out with two majors.

Lastly, Kapunda eased past Tanunda by 71 points.

Carissa Wood and Kaisha Menzel slotted three goals each for the victors.
