What a race

MALLALA Primary School students headed outside their school gates on Friday, to take part in an Amazing Race-style activity in their town.

Separated into small groups, the students were able to visit various locations and meet members of local community groups, in order to complete an activity sheet and fill their passports with stickers.

There was a total of 42 different stops to make, with nine of the stops being manned by members of the community, who each gave out alphabet stickers that needed to be unscrambled into a specific winning word.

The stops included the CFS station and the Mallala Museum replica fire shed, which students previously raised money to help have built.

The activity was part of the school’s annual ‘outdoor classroom’ day.
