1 min read

FIVE Trinity College indoor cricketers travelled to Casey Stadium in Victoria earlier  his month to represent South Australia at the Australian Indoor National Cricket Championships.
Tarlee Meaney, Taylah Gregory and Steph Beazleigh were part of the under 20s team that secured back to back national titles.
Tarlee, who graduated from the school in 2018, topped off her tournament with selection in the All-Australian side, which will tour New Zealand in September.
“It’s pretty good…I can’t get over it, it’s still a pretty big achievement,” she said.
“Going to New Zealand is so different to last year when it was really hot; this time it’s oing to be really cold, so I’m just trying to get my training right to try and match the conditions.”
Taylah and Steph also represented the under 17 side at the championships, and despite finishing fourth were selected in the All-Australian team.
Taylah skippered the team, and was delighted to show off her leadership credentials.
“I really enjoyed captaining…the girls just made it easier, they all listened and we bonded really well,” she said.
Steph added the highlight of the competition was definitely the back-to-back under 20s victory.
“Last year we didn’t expect it so much whereas this year, we were not expected to win, but towards the end we were the favourites, so it was good to live up to that.”
In the under 14s, Alanah Gregory and Isobella Nitschke had individual success, with the duo being named player of the tournament and runner-up, respectively.
“That was amazing,” Alanah said.
“I wasn’t expecting it even though I got runner up last year.”
Isobella and Alanah were also selected for the All-Australian under 14s side.
