NURIOOTPA has moved back into the top five after it defeated Barossa District by eight goals in Barossa, Light & Gawler reserves football on Saturday.
The Tigers got off to the perfect start and led by 33 points at half-time.
The Bulldogs were no match and only added two more goals to three after the main break to fall to their ninth loss of the season.
James Braunack, Ryan Salter and Stuart Bray booted two majors each for the Tigers, while Mitchell Brooks was the only multiple goal-kicker for the Dogs, also with two.
Elsewhere, South Gawler capitalised on Kapunda’s inaccuracy to win by a point.
Neither sides kicked a goal in the opening quarter, with the Bombers taking a 4-1 lead into quarter-time.
However, the Lions soon found the goals and turned that deficit into a nine-point halftime lead.
The Bombers wasted opportunities in the third quarter, kicking 2.5 to South’s two behinds to lead by just a goal at the final break.
Sam Ireland, Riley Barker and Ben Washington were terrific for South, while Sam McKinnon was again one of Kapunda’s standouts.
Meanwhile, Tanunda defeated Gawler Central by three goals.
Dylan Birchard and Dave Willmott kicked two goals each for the Magpies, while Corey Nesbitt continued his consistent season with two for the Tigers.
Lastly, Angaston crushed Willaston by 69 points.
It was a complete team effort from the Panthers, as Brad Brook, Matt Doecke, Wade Richardson, Adam Rogers and Jordan Brook each kicked two goals.
For the Donnybrooks, James Goddard and Dillon Vitnell were impressive.
Under 17
Nuriootpa maintained its position in the top two by beating Barossa District by 13 points.
Dan Roennfeldt was terrific with five goals in a best on ground performance, while Nelson Dahlenberg wasn’t far behind with three.
For the Dogs, Tyson Lane slotted three and Flynn Pratt booted two.
Elsewhere, South Gawler crushed Kapunda by 45 points.
Cooper Pugliese kicked six majors for the Lions, while Tom Clements added two.
For the Bombers, Will Glen and Wyatt Ryan both kicked two majors each.
Meanwhile, Tanunda easily defeated Gawler Central by 68 points.
Isaac Feltus was terrific with four goals, while Jackson Docherty chipped in with three.
For the Tigers, Ross Grady kicked the side’s two goals.
Finally, Willaston knocked off Angaston by 31 points.
Riley Partington led the way for the Donnybrooks with three majors.
Under 15
Barossa District continued its rampaging run atop the table by thumping Nuriootpa by 42 points.
Will O’Brien was best on ground for the Dogs with four goals.
Elsewhere, South Gawler accounted for Kapunda by 32 points.
Mitchell Willsmore slotted three goals and Zac Piddington kicked two for the Lions.
Meanwhile, Tanunda defeated struggling Gawler Central by seven goals.
Brock Wilksch, Finn Reed and Sam Noack slotted two majors each for the Pies, while Josh Harris was the Tigers’ best.
Finally, Angaston defeated Willaston by nine points.
Brock Hutchings kicked two goals for the Panthers.
