Tigers pip Dogs in SANFLW

A WASTEFUL Central District went
down to Glenelg in the SANFL Women’s
competition by three points on Friday
evening.
Grace Duffy and Chelsea Packer
kicked the first two goals of the game at
ACH Group Stadium for the Tigers and
they led by 13 points at quarter-time.
The Bulldogs dominated the second
quarter, with the ball remaining in their
forward half for the majority, but they
were unable to kick any goals, instead
booting five behinds.
Chantel Reynolds booted the first goal
for the Dogs, two minutes into the third
quarter and brought the deficit back to
just a point before the Tigers returned
through Sarah Wilton.
The Tigers led by nine points at the final
change, and they looked home early
in the last quarter with Wilton and Packer
kicking their second goals to blow it out
to 21 points.
Nicola Biagi and Georgia Madigan
then cut it back to nine points as the Dogs
looked hard and carried momentum.
Reynolds snagged her second but it
wasn’t enough as Glenelg held on.
