Tiger skipper Sharman claims netball’s top gong
1 min read

LONG Plains captain Alicia Sharman topped off a terrific season on Saturday night by winning the Plains Producer Medal for the Adelaide Plains A1 netball best and fairest player.

The star Tiger defender held off Virginia’s Kristina Weetra to win the APNA’s top individual honour.

Sharman’s co-coach Mary-Jane McArdle said she was delighted for her.

“Alicia has had an outstanding season in the mid-court and we were thrilled to see her win the best and fairest,” she said.

“Ali's an extremely hard worker and a true team player who has led by example as our captain this year.”

Sharman will be striving to help the Tigers claim the A1 flag as they take on Hummocks in this Saturday’s grand final at Two Wells.
