GAWLER Council and event organisers could have to fork out more than $2500 every time an event is held at the newly-revamped Walker Place.
GAWLER Mayor Karen Redman has defended the recently-completed redevelopment of Walker Place, after a mixed response to the upgrades online.
THE redeveloped Walker Place precinct was officially opened on Monday afternoon following six months of construction works.
GAWLER’S Walker Place will soon be fully open to the public, with construction on the thoroughfare set to be completed next week.
GAWLER Council will spend close to an extra $25,000 to renovate a privately-owned piece of land adjoining Walker Place, itself currently undertaking a $2.3 million revamp.
CONSTRUCTION work has begun on the $2.3 million revamp of the Walker Place precinct, with Gawler Council expecting the work to be finished by the middle of the year.
