FORMER Xavier College principal, the late Lynn Martin, has been put forward for a possible new street name, as part of the Roseworthy Township Expansion project.

A list of 66 possible street names has been approved by Light Regional Council, to be used as part of any future Roseworthy land divisions by Hickinbotham Group.

‘Martin’, as well as Baker (Robert J) and Morris (Mick), who are associated with the Roseworthy College, were the latest additions to the approved list of street names.

Mr Martin was Xavier College principal for 16 years before retiring at the end of 2019, due to ill health.

He passed away on Thursday, May 14, aged 63.

Other names on the list were Angove (Thomas), Hooper (Clifford), Laffer (Philip), Lowrie (William), and Butterfield (Rex M.).
