LEAGUE leader Hummocks handed Angle Vale a 107-goal hiding in Adelaide Plains A1 netball on Saturday afternoon at Lochiel.

The Owls have been well behind the eight-ball since re-entering the competition this season, and the Eagles seized the opportunity to flex their muscles, scoring 114 goals to just seven.

Jessica Taylor shot 74 of the goals, while Lauren Maxwell scored 40.

Elsewhere, Balaklava defeated Hamley Bridge by 19 goals.

Hollie McPharlin continued her terrific season in the goal circle for the Peckerettes with another outstanding performance, while Paula Malkin was serviceable for the Bombers.

Meanwhile, Long Plains defeated Two Wells by 11 goals.

Alicia Sharman was terrific in the mid-court for the Tigers, while Leah Clifton fed the attackers well for the Roosters.

Finally, Virginia has all but sealed away a finals berth after knocking off Mallala by 14 goals.

Kristine Weetra was the Rams’ best, while Ella Thorne was terrific for the Magpies.
