1 min read

BAROSSA wine businessman Rolf Binder has been appointed as the new chair of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains Inc.

The former deputy chair takes over from Ivan Venning, who has led the local RDA arm since 2015.

Mr Binder feels ready to work with the leadership team for the next era of regional prosperity.

“At RDA we are always striving for better results – and ways to inspire innovation for new value in our economy,” he said.

“We are agile and creative, we need to be so.”

In announcing the appointment, regional development assistant minister Nola Marino said Mr Binder has the energy and insights to lead RDA as it focusses on maintaining strengths and developing new industries.

“Rolf will lead RDA Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains under a refreshed charter that focuses their role on driving investment and local procurement opportunities and through this, creating jobs and economic growth for our regions,” she said.

“I look forward to working with him and the RDA Barossa Gawler Light Adelaide Plains members and staff over the coming years and encourage the community to reach out to their RDA to discuss how it can help business succeed.”

Mr Binder’s term will extend to June 30, 2025.
