WEDGED in between Cash Converters and BankSA in Gawler’s Murray Street sits Business Hub, a new co-working office space that had its official opening last Tuesday.

The premises have been refitted to feature 10 office spaces and a meeting room, which can be rented at $160 a week.

It also features on-site carparking and can be accessed 24 hours, seven days a week.

With the COVID-19 pandemic forcing people to make the switch from working in an office to working from home, Business Hub allows people to rent out a space where they are free from the distractions of home and having a space to meet clients in a work-like setting.

The Gawler opening marks a regional expansion for Business Hub, following its 12 other office spaces around Adelaide’s western suburbs and central business district.

Asset partner David Thornton said Business Hub members typically comprised people working from home or those who had just recently started a business.

The space allowed members to feel more professional and free from the confines of a home office.

“We have had a couple of people in the last 12 months say working from home is just not good, it is not healthy,” Mr Thornton said.

“They are all professionals, they have all got their own businesses. It ranges from a plumber who works from home and he needs to employ someone to do the invoicing but doesn’t want someone in his house doing that, so he rents an office.

“We have got landscapers, accountants, digital marketers. We have got a whole bunch.”

Mr Thornton said there had been about a year’s worth of research into the area before the expansion north. The Business Hub features free Wi-Fi, printing, photocopying and mailboxes for members.

Enquiries are now open for parties interested in renting an office space. More information can be found at businesshuboffices.com.au/
