Magpies excited about Hawks coming to town
1 min read

TANUNDA Football Club president Danny Westhoff says the club has no issues with the Hawthorn Football Club coming to hub in Tanunda, viewing it as a great advertisement for the town.
With Hawthorn set to use Tanunda Oval as a training venue during the day, Westhoff said he’s confident the AFL club will take every precaution, and clean up after itself.
“It’s not really going to affect us whatsoever… there’s probably a few people that walk their dogs at that time of day who will be inconvenienced though,” Westhoff said.
“The council set it all up, so we weren’t necessarily in the loop, but they’re a very professional organisation and I have no doubt they’ll go above and beyond to make sure everything is done by the book.
“It’ll be good exposure for us – hopefully we get a few TV crews down there and our sponsors can get some eyes on them.
“I’m sure there will be some disappointed Hawthorn supporters in town since the gates will be closed while they’re in there, but it’s great to be able to show off our area and maybe open the door for something similar in the future.”
