THE $5.1 million State Government-funded project Stebonheath Road and Womma Road Intersection Upgrade works started on Monday.

The project includes installation of a single lane roundabout at the intersection to improve road safety and traffic efficiency for all road users.

Works will be undertaken between 7am and 5pm, and are expected to be complete by late July, weather permitting. Night works may also be required during the project.

All roads will remain open to traffic during construction, with a 25kph speed restriction in place while workers are on-site.

Lane and other speed restrictions may apply, subject to onsite conditions. Road users are asked to please take extra caution when workers are on site.

More information on the project is available at the Department of Infrastructure and Transport’s website.
