HUMMOCKS secured back-to-back Adelaide Plains A1 netball premierships in devastating style as it destroyed Long Plains by 26 goals in Saturday’s grand final at Two Wells.
The Tigers had pipped the Eagles in the second semi-final by a goal earlier in the month, but the reigning premier was determined and relentless this time around.
Ash Williams and Lauren Maxwell were a handful under the goal ring, while Sarah Young and Beth Reid dominated in the mid-court.
However, best on court was awarded to Madeline Simpson for her defensive work, which helped restrict the Tigers to just 33 goals.
Meanwhile in the A2 decider, Hummocks defeated Balaklava by nine goals.
Haylee Studham was terrific as she fed goalies Bridget Guthberg and Jessica Taylor, who scored 51 goals for the Eagles.
For the Peckerettes, Kameeka Scott and Kate Wilson tried hard all day.

Caitlyn Moulds was named best on court for her defensive work, while Kirsty Williams and Olivia Carslake proved to be a problem for the Rams.
In a low-scoring A4 decider, Two Wells pipped Virginia by five goals.
The Roosters scored just 29 goals but, thanks to the work of best on court Jamie Dinham, restricted the Rams to 24.
In the remaining senior game, Hummocks comfortably took out the A5 grand final over Mallala by 13 goals.
Wendy Amos was inspirational from centre as she fed Mikaela Lane-Watson under the ring.
In the 17 & Under grand final, Mallala thumped Hamley Bridge by 26 goals.
