Hope fades for Trinity
1 min read

TRINITY Old Scholars suffered a heavy 106-point loss to Hope Valley in division five of the Adelaide Football League on Saturday.

The Demons were dominant from the get go, but failed to make it count on the scoreboard, kicking 4.8 to Trinity’s sole goal to lead by 26 points at quarter-time.

The TOSers’ accuracy in front of goal continued, but it didn’t help much as the Dees continued to blow the margin out, this time to 36 points at the main change.

However, the third quarter proved to be the catalyst for Trinity’s downfall.

The Demons booted 7.8 to the TOSers’ 2.2 and all of a sudden the deficit was 12 goals.

Hope Valley piled on a further 5.5 to one behind to close out the game, and almost close out Trinity’s status as a division five club for next season, with relegation looming.

Jayke Hellmanns slotted seven goals for the Demons in a dominant performance.

For Trinity, Matt Drewett kicked two, while Ryan Humphreys, Brad Schaper, Travis Eves and Stef Cavallaro added one each.

It was a similar result in the reserves, as Hope Valley smashed Trinity by nine goals.

Liam Moore proved to be too good up forward for the Demons, kicking five majors.
