Foxes contribute thousands towards mental health care
1 min read

ANGLE Vale Soccer Club’s first annual Beyond Blue fundraising day went off without a hitch as roughly 1000 people made their way to the Angle Vale Community Sports Centre on Sunday.
The festivities started early in the morning as the lower-graded sides played, with a bouncy castle to keep the kids entertained and a busy canteen looking after the parents.
President Arthur Kouimtzis said the day was exactly what the club was hoping for.
“The day was fantastic – we were overwhelmed by the turn out and were very humbled with everyone’s generosity,” he said.
“It was great to see all the teams’ supporters forging together for the greater good.
“It was a huge success, and we look forward to raising more community awareness around men’s mental health.”
After the under-nines played a curtain raiser in their first match on a full-sized pitch, Angle Vale played against rivals Virginia in the A-grade feature game, with the Foxes taking a 4-1 win to cap off a terrific day for the club which saw $4000 raised for Beyond Blue.
