Donnys dash past Bombers

WILLASTON continued its terrific form as it obliterated Kapunda by 70 points in Barossa, Light & Gawler senior women’s football on Sunday morning.

The Donnybrooks had booted 11.2 to nothing at three-quartertime, and never looked back.

Sarah-Jane Jameson was at her best with seven majors, while former Gawler Central star Lauren Smith was best on ground.

Meanwhile, Angaston put together a terrific defensive display to defeat Gawler Central by 108 points.

The Panthers held the Tigers scoreless as Emma Keys ran riot, booting seven majors.

Aimee Dunstall was also terrific  with four goals, and Kayla McInerney was super impressive.

Elsewhere, Barossa District crushed Nuriootpa by 74 points.

The Bulldogs were indestructible for the whole match and conceded just one behind.

Robyn Crack, McKenzie Thompson, Georgia Madigan and best on ground Taryn Wills all kicked two goals.

Finally, Tanunda defeated South Gawler by 47 points.

Fiona Habermann kicked four of her side’s three majors.

Under 17

Willaston defeated Kapunda by 27 points to move into the top two.

Jessie Sandford kicked three goals in a best on ground performance for the Donnybrooks, while Liana Antonioli was one of the Bombers’ best.

In the other match, Tanunda held on to defeat Barossa District by 15 points.

Sienna Bates kicked three for the defeated Dogs, while Georgie Smart and Sydney Schild kicked the Pies’ five goals.

Under 14

Kapunda continued its flag pursuit, belting Willaston by 91 points.

Carissa Wood was terrific with three goals, while Kaisha Menzel, Halle Butcher and Mikaylah Antony each slotted two for the Bombers.

Gawler Central knocked off Angaston by 22 points.

Chloe Milhench kicked two goals, as Kate Grady was best on ground for the Tigers.

Lastly, Barossa District overcame Tanunda by 57 points.

Kirra Tonkin kicked five snags in a best on ground effort for the Dogs.
