SANDY Creek Blue produced a handy
percentage-boosting win in Saturday’s
Gawler and District Netball Association
A-grade contest, beating Xavier Saints
73-29.
The win has the two Sandy Creek teams
– Blue and Green – well clear of the rest
of the competition on four and six wins
respectively, with third-placed Virginia a
further two wins behind.
In B-grade, Lutheran finally collected
its first win of the season with a 36-24
triumph over Virginia, while the top-two
clash between Sandy Creek and Xavier
Saints saw the Cockatoos hand the Saints
their first loss 36-18.
In the under-15s, Sandy Creek stayed
undefeated with a 43-21 win over second-
placed Virginia, while Lutheran appears
destined for a long, winless season
after a 75-11 loss to second-last ranked
Xavier Saints.
In under-13s, both Sandy Creek Blue
and Green collected comfortable wins,
with Blue beating Gumnuts 26-12, and
Green beating Xavier Saints 24-4.
