A DRIVER was arrested after crashing his car into a unit at Elizabeth Park last week.
Police and emergency services were called to a unit on Palmer Road about 12.30am on Thursday, July 15 after a Ford Territory crashed through the front wall of the premises.
The collision caused significant damage to the house and a Toyota RAV4 parked in the driveway.
A Mazda sedan parked in the driveway was also damaged by falling debris. The occupants of the house were not injured during the incident.
The driver, a 38-year-old Smithfield Plains man, was arrested and charged with refuse breath analysis, drive disqualified and drive without due care. He will face court at a later date.
The SES were called in to ensure the structure was safe.
The crash also knocked out power to the six units and SA Power Networks attended to conduct repairs.
The Ford Territory was towed from the scene.
