SOUTH Australian jockey Krystal Bishop rode at Gawler for the last time on Sunday after deciding to give up riding and going into a training partnership with John Dunn, based at Oakbank.
During her riding career, the talented jockey, apprenticed to Dunn, spent considerable time in Gawler with Gary and Nichole Searle.
The 27-year-old rode 276 winners during her career and her mounts earned $4,665,124 in stakes.
After finishing midfield on Hilumiere in her final ride, John Hatch, chairman of the Gawler and Barossa Jockey Club, and chief executive officer Shane Collins presented Bishop with a small gift to celebrate her riding career.
